I'm in two minds about this one. I bought it for a military ball, and whilst the dress itself is beautiful, the fit was a bit fiddly for my body shape. The waist hit me in an odd spot, slightly higher than my natural waistline, so it felt a bit awkward until I popped on a thin belt to break it up. However, the quality of the fabric is undeniable. It feels thick and luxurious, not like those flimsy fancy-dress style gowns you sometimes get online. The bow on the back is lovely, but you definitely need someone to give you a hand to make sure it sits properly. If you have a standard hourglass figure, this will probably look smashing on you. For me, it needed a few alterations to make it work, but it ended up looking brilliant in the end.

The colour is vibrant, and the sheen on the satin looks really premium in photos. It’s comfortable enough to wear for an eight-hour day, which is saying a lot for a formal dress.
