I was looking for something modest but still lovely for a work Christmas party, and this green satin dress was spot on. The V-neck isn't too low, so I felt totally appropriate around my boss, but the cut is still flattering enough that I felt gorgeous. It hits right at the ankle for me (I'm 5'6"), which meant I didn't have to get it taken up—massive bonus. The material has a lovely sheen to it under the lights. It did arrive with a few creases, but a quick steam sorted that right out. I’ll probably wear this to church events too.

So, I took a punt on this dress for my engagement photos because I wanted that elegant, flowing look without spending hundreds of pounds. I am so glad I did. The way the skirt moves when you walk is just gorgeous. The stretchy satin material is forgiving, so it hugged my waist nicely but didn't cling to my hips. It was a bit nippy during our shoot, and having those long sleeves was an absolute lifesaver. The colour is exactly like the picture online. If you're on the fence, just get it, it photographs really well.

Right, can we just talk about how comfortable this dress is? I wore it out for a dinner date that turned into a long walk around town, and I wasn't desperate to take it off by the end of the night. The satin is lovely and soft against the skin, not scratchy at all. I love that it covers my arms, but the V-neck shows just enough skin to stop it looking like a granny dress. The zip at the back was a bit stiff at first, but after doing it up and down a few times, it was absolutely fine. A brilliant find.

I was worried the satin might show sweat patches since it was quite a warm evening, but the fabric held up brilliantly and was much more breathable than I expected. It’s got a lovely weight to it that makes it drape beautifully.

I picked up this dress for a New Year's Eve do because I wanted something that wasn't covered in sequins for once. The satin gives it that festive shine without being too OTT. I was able to dance all night because the skirt is so floaty and gives you plenty of room to move. It’s also surprisingly warm for a satin dress. My only minor niggle is that the neckline gaped a bit when I leant forward, so I used a bit of fashion tape just to be on the safe side. Other than that, it went down a storm with my mates.
