My daughter used this for her school prom because her dress was strapless and she wanted something for the car journey. It's a very basic, lightweight piece that does the job. It's not the highest quality silk or anything, but for a one-night event, it looked really lovely and she was pleased with it.

I popped this over a floral summer dress for a posh afternoon tea in my friend's garden. It's incredibly lightweight and breathable, which was spot on for the warm weather. It does tend to slip off a bit if you're moving your arms around a lot, so I might use a nice brooch next time. Other than that, it's a lovely accessory.
