I had it taken up, which was a bit of a nightmare due to the gorgeous lace detailing at the hem, and I also had the train bustled. For reference, I'm 5'4" and weigh about 16st 11lbs. I usually wear a size 16 or 18, but I followed the size guide and went with a 20W.
