Right, so I took a punt on this dress for a charity ball, and I'm so glad I did. The material is a thick satin, which helps the skirt hold its shape brilliantly. I was a bit worried the lace might look tacky, but it’s actually lovely and really well stitched. I’m usually between sizes, so I went a size up and had it taken in, which I'd definitely recommend if you're unsure. It’s a classic style that I reckon I can wear again to other dos in the future. The pockets (yes, it has pockets!) were the absolute best surprise. I kept my lipstick and mobile in there all night. Brilliant buy.

Just a quick note that the skirt is quite long; I’m 5’6” and wore 3-inch heels, and it still brushed the floor, so petite girls might need to get it taken up.

I ordered the burgundy colour, and it was rich and deep, absolutely perfect for the evening. It did arrive quite creased, which is to be expected, so make sure you give yourself time to steam it properly. Once the creases were out, it looked flawless. My husband couldn't take his eyes off me!

Honestly, I’m quite surprised by how much I liked this. I bought it for a cousin’s engagement party where the theme was 'Hollywood Glamour'. The satin skirt really gives off that old-school glamour vibe. The top section is a lovely snug fit, and the straps actually stay put, which is a relief. I will say, the sizing comes up a tiny bit small around the ribs compared to the size guide, so definitely double-check your measurements. But once it's on, it gives a really lovely hourglass figure. It’s a well-made dress, too—I accidentally caught it on a chair, and the material didn't pull or tear. Pretty impressed with how durable it is.
